I'm a mature-aged Canberra-based artist whose practice has emerged and developed through a sustained commitment to the painting, exhibition and sale of my work. My passion for painting arose after my retirement in my 70s, during studies for two Master's Degrees.  In Semester breaks my home office became my studio and remained so following graduation. For the past ten years I have operated under the studio title "Original Oils" during which time I produced over 150 works, held eight successful solo exhibitions and sold well over fifty paintings.

My work is driven by observation, memory, atmosphere and a unique perspective on landscapes and the ocean. I have also experimented with other subjects including a challenging series on Gaza called "Bearing Witness".

This experience has provided a platform for the next stage of my practice launched with this new website. "The "Kindon Art Studio" delivers a more highly curated presentation of my work supported by coherent collections, professional commissioning, installation and collector services.

The new brand, image and associated accoutrements indicate the new direction of my practice. The eclectic nature of my work  has encouraged me to invent a new word, "EKLECTICA", describing the breadth of practice whilst incorporating the "K" from my studio name.
